Summer Photowalks have just been scheduled.

Thanks to everyone for a great year for the Digital Photography Club. We've been really enjoying the projects and enthusiasm of those who have participated, and we can't wait to see how much more fun we can discover through the world of photography. This summer, we will be channeling all communication through an e-mail group list. If you would like to be on the e-mail list, please let me (Mr. J) know, and I will add you to the list. We current have 3 photowalks scheduled over the summer:

1. Lancaster City Photowalk
2. Elizabethtown Sunrise Shoot
3. City Island Photowalk

Details and extra information on the times and meeting places for these events will be communicated through our e-mail list. We would like to encourage all members to use the summer to build your skills, and please don't hesitate to share your photos on our Flickr site. We'll be posting photos to the group pool all summer, so please share. Also, don't forget our critique page as well. We will begin regular meetings in the fall. Have a great summer and happy shooting!

New Assignment: Shadows

The next photo club meeting will be next week (May 15th) at 3:30pm until 5pm. We are going to attempt another photo expedition at the Hilltop Garden /Nursery. If you enjoy photographing flowers or just enjoy the sweet smell of a spring garden, then we would like to encourage you to join us. This event is tentative on weather and permission from the owners of the garden. In the event that we cannot make this trip, we will be conducting a different activity either at the school or nearby which will involve taking photos.

Our next assignment is "Shadows" so get our your cameras and let us see what you've got! Don't forget to post your images in our HCS Photography club Flickr pool. Most importantly, have fun!

Photowalk Postponed another week

Due to several issues surrounding schedules and lack of notification time, we will be postponing our photo club meeting until Thursday April 17th. Barring poor weather, we will be hosting the planned photowalk at Shank Park. Otherwise, we will have an indoor activity planned here at the school. If you are planning to attend the photowalk, please make sure that you get a permission slip.

Next photo assignment: Rock

Our next photo assignment for the coming few weeks is "Rock". The definition of this can be open to interpretation, so be creative. We look forward to your submissions! We've also added a new group for critiques. If you have any photos that you'd like some feedback, or would like to give some feedback, you can post the photos there. This group is private, so if you've not gotten an invitation to join the group, please let me (Mr. Jurina) know and I will send you an invite.

Our next meeting will be another Photo Walk. This will take place on Wednesday March 19th from 3:30pm to 5:30pm at Shank's Park. The permission slips for this event will be made available in the next week. We hope you all can come out to join us. Until then, happy shooting!
