Newest Assignment: Reflections

Our next photo assignment is "Reflections". Try to find a fun and creative way to photograph a reflection. Any reflective surface will do! Also, don't forget to post your photos in our Flickr group photo pool so that we can check out your progress. Our next meeting will be Thursday January 17th at 3:30 p.m. in the Computer Lab.

Our next meeting will also cover some low-light photography techniques that will help you take pictures at night or in situations with little available lighting. This information will help us in preparation for our photowalk of Hummelstown on January 31st. Stay tuned for more information and a link to download the permission slip for the trip.

Newest Assignment: Black and White

Our next photo assignment will be "Black and White" or grayscale images. The idea is to find creative subjects or shots that would be most enhanced by the black and white spectrum. Please be creative and have fun, as usual. Don't forget to post your shots up on our Flickr page. Our next meeting will be on Thursday January 10th in the computer lab at 3:30pm. Next Meeting Announced

Our next meeting will be this coming Thursday (January 3rd) at 3:30pm. We will be reviewing our latest assignment photos and receiving a brief tutorial on how to convert your photos to grayscale for our next photo assignment. We hope to see you all there!

Next Assignment: Red

Happy holidays to you all and thank you for your continued involvement in the Digital Photography Club. Our last meeting end up with a critique of almost 100 images that were submitted from our last assignment!

Our next assignment will be the color red. For this assignment, we are looking for creative photos utilizing the color red in some way as the subject. Be creative with this topic. There's plenty of red out there, especially during this particular holiday, so the pickings won't be slim. Most importantly, enjoy yourselves, and get those photos in our Flickr pool. Feel free to participate in our discussion topics as well.

New Assignment and Meeting

Due to the recent snow day, we decided that it would be a good idea to offer up a new assignment for the club members to take on, if they are bored of Christmas photos. The next assignment will be "Winter" and will be reviewed on Thursday December 20th along with our Christmas photos. Please contact either Mr. Caldwell or myself if you have any questions. Next Assignment: Christmas

Thanks to all who came for the last club meeting, and special thanks to Jill who brought the homemade apple pies. After much discussion, it seems that the general consensus is that the Digital Photography Club will be meeting each Thursday, unless otherwise announced. If there is a change in meeting days, we will communicate that via this website.

In other news, our assignment for our next meeting, which will be this coming Thursday December 13th is "Christmas". We would like to encourage you to think a little outside the box on this one and get some interesting images. Please post them to the Flickr site before our next meeting.
